1、 Where can I refuel the pneumatic drilling machine?

The Shanjiu punching machine is manufactured with precision. In order to reduce wear and ensure long-term use, the gap between the punch and the upper die hole is extremely small, generally not exceeding 3 microns. Therefore, it is necessary to refuel during work, otherwise it may cause overheating, burns, and jamming.

There is an oil pool designed at the punch and upper die hole of the pneumatic punching machine for storing lubricating oil. Inject lubricating oil and maintain a depth of at least 2 millimeters to allow the punch to wet. Instead of just spraying a little oil on the surface of the punch.

2、 What lubricating oil should be added?

Due to the sliding and small gap between the punch and the upper die, low viscosity lubricating oil is required. At the same time, it is required that the oil can form a good oil film on the sliding surface to protect the moving parts and reduce direct friction. Therefore, there are requirements for the selection of lubricating oil.

New machines can use lubricating oil with lower viscosity (which feels thinner and has better fluidity), while old machines that are prone to oil leakage can use lubricating oil with higher viscosity (which feels thicker). At the same time, viscosity is greatly affected by temperature, so it needs to be scientifically selected according to the instructions of the oil product.

The most common type is engine oil, with 0W-20 suitable for general low and normal temperatures, and 20W-50 suitable for higher temperature scenarios. The following table is for oil reference.

3、 Refueling for special situations such as horizontal installation and inversion

The default oil level of the punching machine is to install it horizontally as an oil tank. When the punching machine is installed horizontally or even upside down, this oil tank cannot be filled with oil. This type of use should be explained first. Customizing fuel stations or cups for fuel supply can improve the service life and stability of the  punching machine.
